June 14, 2010 -18

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 24% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -18 (see trends).

The president has launched a campaign to build support for his recently passed health care law, but he’s clearly facing an uphill battle. Fifty-eight percent (58%) of voters favor repeal of that law and most expect it will increase the federal budget deficit.

Just 24% believe that increased government spending is good for the economy. Most voters take the opposite view and say it’s bad for the economy. Most voters also believe that tax hikes hurt the economy.

Fifty-seven percent (57%) of Illinois voters think that former Governor Rod Blagojevich should go to jail.

Overall, 45% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance. Fifty-five percent (55%) disapprove. These numbers have remained constant for months and the Gulf oil spill has not yet had any impact on the president’s overall approval rating.

The "Presidential Approval Index rating" is a creation of Scott Rasmussen to provide political comfort food for republicans while they walk the wilderness.  Gallup  created their presidential job approval rating sometime back in the 1930's.  Anyone interested in reality might want to check them.  http://www.gallup.com/poll/113980/gallup-daily-obama-job-approval.aspx

And both Rasmussen and Gallup report latest total Obama approval at 45%; the "reality" you directed us to.

So apparently they are reporting the same trends and reach the same absolute value.

Indicates Rasmussen is an excellent polling firm.

On 6/13/10, Ras shows 45% approval - Gallup 48%.  Disapproval is...Ras 55% - Gallup 45%.  I suspect you find Rasmussen's numbers more comforting.  Enjoy whatever delusions make you feel good.

So is it your claim that Obama is doing just fine in the polls?

(all major polls reflect the same downward trend for his approval)

I'm certain that you, as a fervent supporter of Dick "Mr. 9%" Cheney, can explain what "doing just fine in the polls" means.

Changing the subject?

Don't want to talk about Obama anymore?

(Biden's warnings about "on the job training" are coming to the fore)

I hope everyone saw the Gallup poll the other day.  The majority of BO's support is coming from people making less than $2,000/month.  In other words, losers.

When you can't make sense in a short simple-minded post, I doubt you can do anything except make bumper stickers.  Don't quit your day job.

Ahh, yes; then again, for the sake of taxpayers everywhere, I sincerely hope you've quit yours - or at least changed to something more, shall we say, suitable - or have you managed to find that cite to the provision that permits a taxpayer to claim amortization on assets they do not own and have no beneficial or proprietary interest in?
