I'm not a Conservative. Conservatism is a failed ideology.
... a failed ideology that defeated the Soviet Evil Empire and blessed America with a Pax Reagan-a and an era of prosperity that it allowed reverse-Darwinism to devolve American politics to its current state.
Without competition for survival during the 1990s, America became fat, lazy, and crack-addicted ... just as the Japanese Prime Minister had warned Bush #41 prior to Bush puking in the Prime Minister's lap.
Conservatism is missing from today Republican body politic because it was too successful. Having vanquished Malaise, inflation, Stalinism, etc., the Bush '43 Republican Party no longer needed conservatism to survive. Being slightly less liberal, less fiscally irresesponsible, and less Clinton was enough in the early 2000s to obtain and hold power.
But the Republican party strayed for too long and for too far until it and the Dems morphed into the Globalist monstrosity that is the UniParty. Where do the Dems end and from where do the Repubs begin?
The Bush #43 crew eskewed Adam Smith capitalism for laissez faire Kleptocratic Krony Kapitalist Corporate Welfare that led to the 2008/2009 Financial Crisis, the Obama Administration, Occupy Wall Street, the Tea Party, the Freedom Caucus, and eventually MAGA.
It is the Republicans' embrace of Globalist New World Order Bush-ism and their repudiation of Reagan American Exceptionalism that has angered the unwashed deplorable masses. How long must Republicans continue to wander in the Globalist UniParty desert before they re-embrace Reagan Conservatism and American Exceptionalism to find their path back to the Gipper's Promised Land?
Project 2025 is no substitute for a smaller, less powerful, less imperial Executive Branch.
